De blessing van deze week is... (rapapapa): we zijn begonnen met ons tuintje te plannen.
Ik heb het nog niet helemaal in mijn hoofd, maar weet al wel drie dingen: niet zo naaldboomachtig, niet al te bontbladig en niet te exotisch. Kijk, lavendel is nog tot daar aan toe, daar kun je nog met de auto bij de plaats van oorsprong komen. Maar palmen gaan me gewoon net iets te ver. Bij de molen wonen we omringd door coniferen, ook dat doen we nu maar eens even niet. En dat bontbladige... tsja, gewoon voorkeur denk ik. Eigenlijk weet ik nog wel wat: grindtuinen, bij ons in t durp bijzonder hip, is iets wat ik ook niet ambieer. Wat ik wel wil? Bloemen, vriendelijk voor bij, vlinder en kinder.
En nu kijk ik vooral veel rond op internet, om sfeertjes te proeven. Na een snelle zoektocht kom ik bijvoorbeeld terecht in Teuni's tuin, Bart met zijn eigenwijze tuin en Yolanda's tuintirades. Maar mochten jullie nog tips hebben, dan horen we ze heel erg graag.

Normaal telt Anki ook haar zegeningen, maar vandaag eens niet, wegens een Mus-welkom-feestje. Misschien Iris wel?

This weeks blessing is... (sound of drums): we started planning our little garden.
I haven't figured it all out just yet, but I know some things at least: not to much pine, not too much variegated and not too exotic. Look, lavender is all right, one can reach the place of origin by car, but palm trees... That's just too far fetched. Near the mill we live surrounded by conifers, so I'm through with that as well. And the issue with variegated leaves? Well, that's just preference I guess. What do I want? A friendly place, full of butterflies, for butterflies, bees and children.
And now I look around at the world wide web. After a quick search I found Teuni's garden, Bart and his perty garden and Yolanda's Tuintirades. But if you have any tips or tics, just let us know.
