Laatste avondmaal / gevloerd

Vandaag ons laatste feestje aan de molen, ter ere van ome Kees, zie de laatste foto. Oom Kees, van wie wij een stukje van het huis huren, is 70 geworden en kreeg van ons een verrassingsbarbeque. Het meeste eten was lekker en gauw op (behalve de komkommer), het weer was heerlijk en de kindertjes smerig: perfecte ingrediënten voor een gezellige avond.

Today our last supper (oh no, that's something else) near the mill, in honour of uncle Kees, see the last picture. Oom Kees, of who's house we rent a small part, is now 70 years old and we thought it would be nice to treat him to a BBQ. Most of the food was nice and soon gone (except for the cucumber), the weather was beautiful and the children were not: perfect ingredients for a cosy evening together.

Boven/upstairs

En dan nu de vloeren. Boven zie je de benedenvloer, beneden de bovenvloer. En over de bovenvloer heb ik iets leuks te vertellen: Ed en ik waren nog danig aan het twijfelen of we die zouden laten bewerken door de vloerenmannen die daar een perfect masjientje voor bij zich hadden en de goeie witte olie. Maar ja, daar hing dan ook een prijskaartje aan, dus wij dacht nog steeds erg na. Heeft één of andere reddende engel het zo geregeld met die kerels dat het gebeurd is. Dat was zo'n leuke verrassing. En mooi dat alles is geworden, mooi!

And now it's time for the floors. The upper photo shows the lower floor, the lower photo shows the upper floor. And about the above floor I have a small, nice story: Ed and I were doubting whether we should let the floor men deal with the floor upstairs as well. Have them polish and oil it, because they were there and had the right stuff with them. But ofcourse that would cost us, so we were still considering it. But yesterday when we came upstairs it was all smooth and whitely shining: some angel has dealt with the floormen and they finished it all. What a nice surprise. And everything is so beautiful!
Tomorrow we start cleaning and moving things.
