Tsjechië - deel I

Als je ooit pannenkoeken wilt eten in Vrchlabi, weet ik de perfecte plek/ If you ever want to eat pancakes in Vrchlabi, I know just the place for you

We zitten weer om in het ritme van gewoon en alledag. Ik kijk met genoegen terug naar onze vakantiekiekjes en glimlach. Het was goed, mooi en deels rustig, deels actief. Maar ook: overreden tot wandelen, ruzie's slechten en ontelbaar veel kinderliedjes en boekjes herhalen. Uiteindelijk neem je jezelf overal mee naar toe en geniet je met zijn allen van elkaars (on)hebbelijkheden. Het grote verschil met thuis is dat je daarnaast minder hoeft: minder heen en weer, van en naar en schoonmaken en opruimen.
Wat Tsjechië betreft: het heeft iets. Dat vinden andere mensen ook, gezien de drukte op sommige plekken (zie de enorme rij auto's hierboven, allemaal toeristen die met de gondel naar het hoogste punt wilden en daarvoor 3 uur of langer in de rij moesten). Maar op heel veel andere plekken, die waarschijnlijk even mooi waren, waren minder mensen en kon je echt genieten van de charme van een 'land zonder opsmuk' zoals een vriendin treffend zei.
En nu, na twee weken kan ik zeggen: Wij zijn echt terug, terug in het ritme en we genieten ook daar weer van.

We are back on track, doing our business as usual. That's the time to go back to our holiday, before it was just a bit to confronting: I wanted to stay in that holiday rythm of not having to 'must' too much. 
We had a nice holiday in the Giant Monutains, near the Polish border and we had a really nice, quiet and sometimes active time. Ofcours there were the quarrels, the numerous repetitive children books and songs and perusavive moments to talk the children into another hike, but the average of it all was good. 
About Czech itself: we liked it, and so did many other people. We didn't expect it to be that touristic, but if we stayed out of the really touristy places, we were able to really see this country without too much 'finery' (don't know if it's translated correctly, but we have a great Dutch word for it, that says it well) and beautful in it's straightforwardness.
And now that we have two weeks in our usual rhythm I can honestly say that after the usual start up problems, we are back on track and liking it.
