over beer en zus

Grote Beer wordt bijna vier en moest voor de laatste keer naar het consultatiebureau. Oh, die concentratie en dat het-goed-willen-doen... Het was bijna tastbaar. Weer een laatste keer. Nog een paar laatste keren naar de speelzaal, naar de gastouder en lekker om mij heen spelen op mijn vrije dagen en dan gaat onze kleine jongen alweer naar de grote school.

Big Bear is almost turning four and had to go to the clinic for the last time (here in the Netherlands they visit a clinic regularly from 0-4, until they go to school). The concentration on his face and his I-want-to-my-bestest-of-the-best were almost tangible. Another last time. A few last times will follow: him going to the playgroup, the baby sitter and staying home with me on my off days and then my little boy will go to the big school.

 De oplettende lezer weet dat ik geen aandacht heb besteed aan Zus, die alweer zes is geworden. Tot mijn grote schande moet ik bekennen dat het lieve meisje het met bijzonder weinig foto's heeft moeten stellen dit jaar. Het feest was er niet minder om, maar ik heb nog nooit zo weinig foto's gemaakt als de laatste tijd. Maar vooruit, hier Zus die wordt toegezongen in de klas, de uitnodigingen en de bijna affe traktatie op school. Alles geïnspireerd op Hiawatha en Pocahontas want Zus is tegenwoordig Zilverveer.

The attentive reader knows that I skipped Sister's sixth birthday completely. To my disgrace I have to admit that I've been taking very little photo's lately and only a few around her birthday. The party was as nice as always, she enjoys her birthdays more and more each year and really loves her presents. On these pictures you get a glimpse of all the fun: Sister beeing sung to in class, the inivitation and the almost finished treats (which became tipi's, with a cake beneath them). All are Indian style, because Sister is Silver Feather nowadays.
